How about we all pressure Amazon to add channel numbers to the guide on Fire Recast? It would be such a worthy addition. Just ask my wife, kids, neighbors and various friends. We all want numbers.
I still use Vtube third party app. The new RUclips one doesn't play trailers from third party apps. Also it's been freezing and crashing my firetv Cube. It's the only app that's ever done that so I think they need to go back and fix it again

Yes it works...but the functionality is a bit iffy right now. You can cast and play videos from a linked phone, but unlike chromecast it is not as smooth of an experience. I can be playing one video and then try to cast a new one and it sometimes ignores that request so it's still buggy.
I am having a huge issue with the new RUclips app for the Fire TV. I used to just use the 3rd party silk app and had literally no issues, but now that it just redirects me to the new "official RUclips app" I am having nothing but problems. Any time I try to start a video that has an ad, or even a roll-through ad, it takes me straight back to the home page (or even the last app I was using, like Hulu or Netflix? It honestly makes no sense to me) , making it near impossible to watch RUclips on my tv. I can't even find a place to provide this feedback so I'm not sure where to go from here, other than just going back to watching RUclips on my phone. Is anyone else having a problem with this?

Now I see comments noting that it's back and working fine, but videos are showing up in SD. Thanks for the heads up. I think I'll skip this update as well 😂
@@kdisabelle Roku is good until you run into HDCP error bugs that will pretty much ruin your Roku experience. Fire Stick and Apple TV and Nvidia Shield are the better streaming devices. Roku is just too damn buggy most of the time so it's now going to my closet & I'm going back to Amazon starting today.

I just don't like Fire TV stick at all because the lack of casting youtube to the Fire TV ,,,yes it is possible but you have to download something to make it happen VS Roku doesn't need, it just works!
And this app is glitchy, crashes freezes. It's pretty much unusable after an hour or so, and a complete reboot is the only fix. Same on 4 4k sticks. Now there is a message saying the silk version is somehow going away? So we'll be stuck with this glitchy app. Looks like we'll be using Firefox. Why would Amazon disable RUclips via the silk browser? Any confirmation on this?
You could always get RUclips on any Firestick before, all you had too do was install Puffintv (browser)...which already has RUclips already included in the application.

Too late for me, I swapped out all my Fire sticks for Roku when Amazon yanked the RUclips app. I also ditched my Kindle Fires for Samsung tablets.

It's garbage. The highest video resolution is 720p. If you access youtube through Silk, the videos play at 1080p. Im so pissed off.
